Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Evaluation and treatment of various pelvic floor conditions in both women and men. Pelvic floor physical therapy is a specialty and is only provided by Sandy Gibson, PT in our Franklin and West Nashville offices and Sara Bandy in our East Nashville office. Sandy has had extensive training in pelvic floor physical therapy and holds the designation Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) from Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.  Sara has also received pelvic floor physical therapy training from Herman & Wallace Rehabilitation Institute.  Male pelvic floor dysfunction is only treated by Sandy Gibson.

Pelvic floor conditions/diagnoses treated include:

  • Urinary Incontinence

  • Urinary Urgency or Frequency Issues

  • Diastasis Recti

  • Pelvic Organ Prolapse

  • Pain or Dysfunction with Intercourse

  • Pelvic Pain

  • Hip Pain

  • Back Pain

  • Groin Pain

  • Male Pelvic Pain (Sandy only)

  • Pre-pregnancy (plan ahead of time)

  • During pregnancy (keep it healthy)

  • 2-6 weeks after delivery (return to function)
