About Laura
Laura has been a licensed physical therapist since 1992, dedicating over three decades to helping people reduce pain, regain function, and stay active in their daily lives. With advanced training in manual therapy and non-manipulative muscle energy techniques, she specializes in addressing neck and low back pain caused by spinal misalignment and muscle imbalances.
Laura's fascination with the human body—its ability to move, learn, grow, and heal—drew her to physical therapy early in her career. She believes our bodies have tremendous capacity to heal when given proper support, movement strategies, and guidance. Her approach centers on analyzing the mechanical stressors that cause pain, whether positional, neural, or load-sensitive issues in the spine. Through one-on-one manual therapy sessions, she assesses the root cause of each client's pain and develops personalized treatment plans designed to help them achieve their goals and live life to the fullest.
Recently, Laura expanded her clinical expertise to include female pelvic floor treatment, bringing specialized pelvic floor therapy to our South Nashville/Brentwood location. This addition allows her to serve even more women navigating pelvic health concerns.
What sets Laura apart is her commitment to continuous learning. She constantly reads about new treatment techniques, challenges her own clinical ideas, and seeks innovative ways to bring strength and balance to the human body. This dedication to growth ensures her patients always receive the most current, evidence-based care.
Outside the Clinic
Laura stays active by biking with her husband and taking her grandson on walks. She enjoys sewing, reading, and playing games—especially when those activities happen at the beach with her adult children and their families. She's passionate about learning new things, a passion that deepened when she homeschooled her four children and discovered how much she could learn alongside them.
