About Marsha

Marsha is a highly experienced Doctor of Physical Therapy with nearly 40 years of clinical practice, with a specialized focus on pelvic health for the last 25 years. She is a board-certified specialist in Women's Health Physical Therapy (WCS), board-certified in biofeedback for pelvic muscle dysfunction (BCB-PMD), and holds a certificate of achievement in pelvic physical therapy (CAPP). Her extensive credentials and experience make her one of the most qualified pelvic health specialists in Tennessee.

Throughout her career, Marsha has worked across multiple clinical settings and remains an active member of the APTA's Academy of Pelvic Health, the International Continence Society, and the Tennessee Rural Health Association. She also serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Tennessee State University, where she contributes to training the next generation of physical therapists.

Marsha's passion for physical therapy was ignited by a personal injury in 7th grade, but her true calling emerged early in her career when she began collaborating with an OB-GYN physician. She realized many patients' pelvic issues were rooted in the neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems—areas where physical therapy could make a profound difference. As one of the first board-certified specialists in women's health in Tennessee, it remains a profound honor to help patients overcome pelvic dysfunction and regain their ability to move with joy and confidence.

Her clinical philosophy centers on empowering patients to overcome pelvic dysfunction through a holistic, evidence-based approach that emphasizes the powerful mind-body connection. Through personalized, one-on-one sessions, Marsha combines manual therapy techniques, biofeedback technology, and therapeutic exercise to restore normal neuromuscular control. She prioritizes patient education, giving you the knowledge and tools needed to take control of your health and maintain long-term wellness.

Outside the Clinic

Outside of the clinic, Marsha is an avid walker, often covering 3 to 5 miles a day. For greater challenges, you'll find her on hiking trails exploring Tennessee's natural beauty. She's maintained a regular Pilates routine for years and enjoys reading. Recently, Marsha and her husband were blessed with their first grandchild. After raising three boys, they're absolutely loving the "girl experience."

Four years ago, Marsha and her husband made a bold life change, selling their home to become full-time RVers. They currently live and volunteer at a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers park on Percy Priest Lake, where they help maintain the park and stay connected to their community.
