PT, DPT, COMT, CDNT (Owner & Founder)
Brittany graduated from physical therapy school in 2009 and has spent her career helping active people recover fully and stay active for life. As the founder and owner of Nashville Physical Therapy & Performance, she specializes in orthopedic physical therapy, manual therapy, dry needling, and movement-based rehabilitation for athletes and active adults.
With over 15 years of clinical experience treating musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain, Brittany's approach goes beyond symptom relief. She's passionate about identifying the root cause of pain, restoring strength and mobility, and helping patients build resilience so injuries don't keep coming back. Her clinical philosophy is straightforward: listen first, treat the whole person, and create a clear plan forward.
About Brittany
Why Physical Therapy?
Brittany knew from a young age that she wanted to work in healthcare. Her interest in physical therapy became personal after a knee surgery in high school. Experiencing rehab firsthand sparked her curiosity about movement, recovery, and the body's ability to heal with proper guidance and support. That experience shaped a belief she carries into every patient interaction: no one should have to stop doing what they love because something hurts.
Why Nashville PT Was Created
After nearly 10 years working in large, insurance-based clinics, Brittany grew frustrated with a broken system. Insurance companies dictated patient care by limiting visit numbers and restricting treatment options. Low reimbursement models forced therapists to juggle multiple patients at once, leaving no one with the focused attention they deserved. She knew there had to be a better way.
In 2018, she founded Nashville Physical Therapy & Performance to deliver the kind of care she would want for herself: unhurried, one-on-one sessions focused entirely on the individual. No insurance interference. No rushing. Just skilled, personalized physical therapy designed to keep active people active. Since opening, Nashville PT has been serving the greater Nashville area with evidence-based, fitness-forward care that actually works.
Brittany believes everyone needs a physical therapist at some point. Most aches and pains don't require imaging, medication, or surgery—but they do require expert guidance to fully recover and prevent future problems. That's exactly where Nashville PT comes in.
Clinical Approach
Brittany works with runners, athletes, weekend warriors, and active adults who want more than temporary relief. Her patients are looking for lasting results—they want to understand their bodies, move better, and feel confident in their movement long-term. Every session is individualized and hands-on when needed, always paired with purposeful movement and patient education. Her goal isn't just to get you out of pain; it's to help you return stronger than before.
Outside the Clinic
Brittany lives in East Nashville with her husband, Jack, and their goldendoodle, Janet. She practices what she preaches when it comes to staying active—you'll find her hiking, traveling, doing Pilates, and strength training regularly. When she's not in the clinic, she enjoys baking sourdough, tending to her garden, reading, or planning her next adventure.
Her favorite form of exercise? Walking while on vacation. Whether hiking a scenic trail or exploring city streets, she loves moving her body in a new place while soaking in the sights, sounds, and culture. Last year in Spain, she walked 6 to 12 miles a day—proof that sometimes the best workouts don't feel like workouts at all.
